National experts have salvaged materials from demolition projects for more than three decades.
National Salvage & Service Corporation provides all-inclusive utility pole recycling services to some of the country’s largest utilities, saving these companies significant holding and disposal costs. Along with utility poles, National will recycle untreated wood such as pallets, reels and crating.
National designed our pole program to fit the needs of our customers. Whether you’re looking to increase your recycling percentage or increase disposal efficiency, National can customize a program to fit selective needs.
Utility poles we recycle find new purposes in building, fencing and landscaping projects. Poles that do not meet reuse quality standards can be landfilled or sent to a permitted cogeneration facility. Untreated wood can be recycled in its original form or ground into clean mulch. Depending on trends and availability, National will market material to suit specific requirements.
National designed our program as a competitive alternative to the high costs of current disposal methods. Our program will not hide labor, disposal or container rental costs. We supply long pole racks and a roll-off container for treated wood debris and designate a holding site for untreated material. When service is needed, our specialized grapple trucks will remove all built-up material.
Our experienced operators will increase removal efficiency. We’re confident that our recycling services will exceed your environmental goals, as evidenced by our 96 percent recycling rate — significantly above goal — for all of Duke Energy’s wood waste material. We continually strive to make our program hassle-free, cost-effective and environmentally conscious.
